Professional Development Workshops

Dr. Amy Mullins is an associate professor of education, consultant, presenter and author. Dr. Mullins served as a classroom teacher for more than ten years, an assistant curriculum director for two years and a consultant before earning her Ph. D. from the University of Toledo. Her dissertation entitled, An Analysis of the Phonics Dance in Semi-Rural Midwestern Elementary Schools, inspired her interest in phonics instruction. Dr. Mullins is considered an expert concerning phonics and instructs phonics at Bluffton University. She developed Crack the Code in response to identifying a need for phonics resources in which older students would find interesting.

Dr. Mullins is available for professional development workshops concerning phonics, response to intervention and balanced literacy.
